E mail of Clyton D'Souza, Operations Service Controller, DNATA (Dubai)

Hi Subash,

It’s been a while since we connected. Have been checking you web site and saw my name there. I thought I should let you know that I have now moved up the ladder, as in promoted.

I am now designated as "OPERATIONS SERVICES CONTROLLER" with the OPERATIONS SERVICES DEPARTMENT with DNATA.

Just to give you a clear picture of what I do now….. I am one of four Controllers and we are available 24/7 on a shift basis. We have the responsibility of heading a team of over 400 staff of our department, which includes Aircraft Dispatchers, Load controllers, Documents section.

Our team of dispatchers have the responsibility of releasing an aircraft at Dubai airport only when they are one hundred percent sure it is SAFE. They control all activities around the aircraft and deal with all areas to ensure that we as DNA T A provide the required level of service. Our teams have various units and their staff working under them, involved with the handling of an aircraft.
In short, our dispatchers are the flight managers and make sure that every aircraft gets the required handling as per the Service Level Agreements with the Operators. If there is something to be done around an aircraft the dispatcher gets it going. SAFETY IS OUR FOREMOST PRIORITY.
Do let me know if you are passing by Dubai. I should be in Bombay in the first week of JUNE. There is lots to tell you on how Dubai Airport functions and has been growing.
Like I say to all my colleagues: The only thing constant is Change. If we do not adapt to change, we fade away. Learning is the lifeline of change.
Regards
Clyton

Dear Mr. Motwani,
Thank you for your intimation regarding my passing the IATA/FIATA DGR Examination of June 2003, with distinction.

I would like to place on record my appreciation for the training imparted by your institute for various examinations pertaining to air cargo transport. The study programmes are conducted very professionally, time schedules are adhered to strictly, and this makes a world of difference to us working professionals for whom time is of essence. Your personal style of teaching, in particular is extremely student-friendly - one does not need to ask questions to understand a subject! Our company proposes to send in more of our employees to qualify in the basic cargo and the DGR examinations and your institute will be our first choice.

Please keep up the good work.

Best regards,
