IHCTM is authorized training centre for IATA/UFTAA Foundation, Consultant, Management and Senior Management courses as well as IATA/FIATA Introductory, Air Cargo Rating and Dangerous Goods Courses from IATA, Canada. Vocational Instruction And Software INCorporated (VIASINC) has been in the field of Global Distribution System (GDS) for over 20 years. VIASINC is the most experienced CRS training vendor in the world and is closely associated with IATA and UFTAA in jointly developing the IATA/UFTAA VIASINC Global Distribution Systems in Fares and Ticketing. VIASINC's GDS emulators are often compared to “live” GDS due to the superior technology, accuracy and depth of entries offered.

IHCTM in association with VIASINC has been offering GDS and CRS training since 1999 and recently have introduced the accelerated GDS through which students can get a complete overview of the entire GDS system.

The accelerated GDS comprising of over 40 hours training on the computer system can be completed in 2 months (regular) or 1 month (intensive) and on successful completion of examination participants will be awarded a certificate jointly issued by IHCTM and VIASINC.

Pre-requisite: Participants should be familiar with major city and airport codes including familiarization of IATA areas and sub-areas. 

Course Fees per GDS: Rs 7000* (regular) OR Rs 10000* (intensive/individual hands-on)

Course Duration: 2 months (regular) OR 1 month (intensive)

Course comprises of approximately 20 lessons per GDS including Quizzes and Exercises approximately 40 hours training on the system

Reappearing Fees: Rs 1200 

 

Course Contents: Sign On / Off, Encoding and Decoding BF/PNR Retrieval, Similar name lists, Display BF/PNR fields - Flight availability, Link Indicators - Return availability, Flight details, Follow up availability -The mandatory BF/PNR fields - Practice building complete BFs/PNRs -Optional BF/PNR Fields - OSI and SSR messages BF/PNR Management - Seat assignment by Area, Changing and Cancelling - Seat Maps, Assigning seats by Specific Number Booking a Car - Hired car rules and Policy displays - Hotel Reservations - Additional hotel entries and Description Displays

Fare Displays - Itinerary Pricing and Ticketing Queues - Changing segment status and Flight time changes - Currency Conversion and other Miscellaneous Functions - HELP and Reference systems/DRS and FOX/AIS

FINAL EXAMINATION

 

Note: Participant has to score 85% in order to qualify for the certification
