Story of Zulfiqar is unusual on more than one count. Here is how.
Firstly his ambition drove him to Dubai but it also pushed him back to India to qualify for promotion and go back.
Secondly while being happily employed on a decent salary, he wanted to pursue higher qualification - IATA/UFTAA Senior Management, not just for money
but knowledge and growth.

Lastly here is a student who impressed his teacher with his sincerity to train him on special basis as there are not many who enroll for Senior Management.
Let's start from his early life. Born and brought up in Mumbai coming from a traditional business family- his father running his own Clearing and Forwarding agency. He is the only male child with 3 angel sisters to see him grow, now of course they are well settled.
He completed his schooling from St. Mary's High school scoring 70% and continued for his graduation from Podar college of Commerce
Matunga. Of course he scored higher in H.S.C. i.e. 73% and also graduated in first class.
He has fancy for travel that prompted him to take up Travel & Tourism at University level for his
graduation. He completed both his standard and advanced level from IATA and immediately joined industry. Initially he joined an Indian IATA approved agency for a year as a trainee. |

He was not getting any pay (Sad!!!). Next he joined a Travel Management Company based in Sydney, Australia and catering only to corporate travel needs. There too he was for one year and got good promotions. Later he switched over to Sound Travels for over a year and he handled travelmartindia.com as Manager- Corporate Accounts.
He happened to visit UAE on a transit visa. While there on his sixth day of arrival one of Sharjah's leading travel company- Orient Travel & Tourism Agency-belonging to the ruler of
Sharjah, selected him. He worked for three years getting promotions after promotions. He was also supervisor for Dubai bank and Mashreq bank call
centre-looking after customers’ travel needs.

At last the day came when he came to India for his marriage and not to keep career behind, he went on looking out for a good institution that could train him for IATA/UFTAA Management qualifications.
He found that there was only one institute, which was authorized for Management and also for Senior Management. It was through an open hearted discussion and counseling that he chose to directly enroll for Senior Management. Now Subhash being the director of IHCTM and highly qualified with 21 IATA qualifications was hard pressed for time as besides career counselling and teaching, he is also involved in a wide range of activities especially with Compact Travels. Thus he suggested Zulfiqar to study on his own as he was the only candidate appearing for the Senior Management exam. He advised Zulfiqar to only come for difficulties just before the exam. But Zulfiqar's persistence paid off and Subhash arranged to take his special class as he was a devoted student who had come all the way from Dubai.

Zulfiqar studied dedicatedly and the results speak for rewards he richly deserves. He scored distinction in his Senior Management and left on 8th June much before this encouraging story appears in print.
He returns doubly satisfied man - firstly as a full fledged man after marrying his better half and secondly a distinction holder in Senior Management from
IATA/ UFTAA. OT wishes him all the best for everything in life and much more for he deserves nothing less. His story should inspire our “native” youth who being in the midst of great international qualification opportunities right here yet want to explore foreign lands!!
