K.C.College was established in the year 1954. It is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The highest achievement of the college was that it got its
permanent affiliation to the university within two years of establishment. This is an exception in the University of Bombay. It was the only college to have
signed a MoU with the Western Region of Confederation of Indian
Industries(CII). K.C's rich history dates back when, late principal K.M.Kundnani laid the foundation stone on 10th October 1953, thereafter there was no looking back. He was
known as “The Lion with Human Heart, who had received an Honor Sumus Award from the Watumull Foundation, Honolulu, Hawaii, US in1991,” His motto
was “Simple Living and High Thinking and the lesson he always taught everyone was “if one can dream big, one can make it big.”

Lakhs of students have graduated and the college boasts of prominent alumni, which easily mirrors the superior fabric of the college. These are the students
who have settled in different paths of life: the film world, industrialists, professors, scientists, journalist and principal too. They are Mr. Rajesh
Khanna, Mr.
Anil Ambani, Dr. Paurvi Shah, Mr. Bhagnan Parvani, Ms. Manju Nichani the present principal of K.C.College and last but definitely not the least myself who is an
ex student of K.C.College and a Journalist too!! An awesome New year for K.C.College, which enters with remembrance of two grand occasions, which were celebrated |

The college, as well as its students body has grown from strength to strength, over a span of five decades. Yet it attracts significant number of students from
India and Abroad too. They provide special courses on languages to NRI students. Students have always found a platform at K.C.College to explore their
potential in extra curricular activities. Their organizational skills, leadership qualities, creativity have blossomed through their involvement in local volunteer
work under NSS, hosting the intercollegiate festivals like Kiran, Blitzkrieg, Atom2 Bitz as well as Sports. “KIRAN” the annual college magazine not only brings
out the talents and creative abilities of the students through the various articles featured in it but it is also a reflection of all the activities which were held in
the campus.

K.C.College boasts of spacious sports room for games such as Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess etc. The college takes pride in the newly renovated Rama
Watumull Auditorium, which plays host to many important functions. K.C. College boasts of a multimedia centre, well-equipped laboratories, computer
network system and Library. Despite constraints of space, every opportunity is provided to enhance the teaching learning experience.
The motto adopted by K.C. at its beginning, asserted its mission, “Salvation Through Knowledge”. Since then it has been fostering students by
showing them the path of achievement. I being an ex-student of K.C. College am very glad to know that the motto adopted by K.C. i.e. Salvation Through Knowledge is apt
as the college imparts education in various faculties to about 4500 students.

“There's a plenty more to do so, I want to see K.C.College on the International map one day and ensures that excellence is a journey not a destination.”
asserts the principal Miss Nichani. She feels that Youth is the Richest Treasure we have, let us find the right path, help them, respect them and support them,
as they are the Builders of the New India and we have a big responsibility towards them. As pages of History unfold, the college keeps adding new feathers
to its cap. From relatively small and humble beginning, K.C. experienced a quantum growth to become one of the most sought after colleges in South
Mumbai. Its tie ups with International Institutions has enabled regular exchange programmes, where students and the teaching staff get a feel of the
education system abroad.

K.C.College completes 50 years of dedicated service to the Student Community. I as an Ex-K.Cite pray that K.C.College, under the dynamic leadership of its
gifted Principal Miss Manju Nichani, may climb the stairs of greater success, strive to maintain the high standards and to face the challenges of globalization,
liberalization which are on the anvil and above all be ever increasingly, a centre of that true education which blends knowledge with qualities of character
and both with spirit of humility and helpfulness. The success of K.C. College is fulfilling its mission of imparting high quality education and translating the
dreams of its founders in this new millennium and taking on new goals as educators and nation builders.
