Ideas for Ambitious

Benchmarking

It is the process of identifying & learning from outstanding, best practices anywhere in the world to help organizations improve their performance. 3 types of benchmarking are
1) Strategic
2) Data-based &
3) Process based.

These are based on the type of information useful in improving profitability & efficiency.

The benchmarking process is started by determining what is to be benchmarked, figure out how the winner got to be the best & determining what has to be done to get there. This is done by not only benchmarking their performance (how much) but also benchmarking processes to reach that level of performance (how).

Implement these programs by setting improvement targets and deadlines and by developing a monitoring process to review and update the analysis overtime.

Benchmarking promotes the emergence & evolution of a learning culture in an organization & facilitates the organization's continuous improvement efforts, innovation & competitiveness over the long run. It not only helps companies look outside one's own company but also outside one's country, region or industry as well. Senior management should bring about a culture change so their organizations become learning organizations, in their journey towards a total quality culture.

Mother's Day

Since 1914 - when Mother's Day was first celebrated as a national holiday in the United States - the second Sunday in May has always been a special day for children and their mothers. It is a day where we take some time to thank the person that brought us into this world and cared for us when we were young (and even when we are grownups).

A small tribute to all the Mothers.

M - O - T - H - E - R

"M" is for the million things she gave us,
"O" means the only person who loves us unconditionally,
"T" is for the tears she shed for us,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell “MOTHER," A word that means the world to all of us.
