Writing an Article

Writing an article is not as difficult as it may seem. Do you know how many stages it involves? No, you don't have to get shocked ! It is just a matter of three to four times of review and correction. In other words, once you are done with the first time, there are just a few more stages involved in order to reach the final copy. Writing an article is not a hard task at all and this article will tell you how to do so and will surely clear all your doubts of writing a good, effective, and meaningful article.

Firstly, you should think of a topic which you are interested in and want to write about. You have to know exactly what message you want to convey to readers and what you are aiming at. Basically, you have to know what your purpose is for writing the article. Once you are done with that you have to gather some information and evidence if required. Some articles such as those involving controversial issues need statistics and evidence, where as some may just involve an idea coming straight out of your head.

After collecting all the data you need and putting it on a piece of paper, you may start writing your article. Divide your main topic into three to four subtopics. The first paragraph mentions a small summary of what your whole article is going to be about such as Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How? These five questions should try to be answered according to your topic. The next three or four paragraphs would give details on your subtopics. Finally, your last paragraph is your conclusion. In your conclusion all you have to do is re-state everything that you had written in your article and also mention a solution if you are writing about a problem.

Once you are done with writing your first draft, read it over and make grammar corrections or spelling and punctuation adjustments. Also arrange your paragraphs so that it would be easy for the readers to understand. It could be in order of sequence or chronology. Re-read the article to see if there are any more corrections that you've missed out on. Perhaps you may want another person to read your article and give any comments or make corrections if necessary. At this stage, your objective of writing a good article is almost achieved. You are now ready to write your final draft to get it in print.

Now, isn't that a short and easy way to write a good, meaningful, and effective article? Why don't you try to write an interesting article on your own and make a beginning?
