Importance of Part-Time job

 

It is a common experience that fresh graduates fail to get jobs easily and this mainly occurs due to lack of experience. Most of the companies demand people having some experience in a particular field. Experience counts a lot and during an interview for a job, having experience in the related job is always a plus point. The only way of gaining experience is by doing a part time job while studying in colleges. By doing a part time job a person can not only gain experience but also recognize his strengths and weaknesses so that by the time graduation is over the person is quite fit for a full-fledged job. 

The job which does not require much qualification and is quite suitable for a collegian would be that of a sales or a marketing person, a tele-marketing or a counter staff, etc. Many do opt for these kinds of jobs and some do not, complaining that it's a tiring job. But very few realize that sales is an art and practice of salesmanship would surely enhance a person's experience in public relations, communication-skills, presentation and customer service. Many college students manage to acquire a job, by looking through the situation vacant columns in the newspaper or through the internet. Getting a part time job and continuing studies will not only help to gain knowledge but also the experience gained will go a long way in helping students in getting better jobs.

Many of the collegians set sights directly on higher posts to start off. But one can be successful only by starting at the bottom and growing to the top thus part-time job is the first step to a higher position.
