Sunstroke, hypoglycemia, heart attack, horrible
sight, shocking news, severe pain, epilepsy
attack etc. are common causes of fainting.
Lie down the patient horizontally, facing
upwards. Press following points firmly with the
nail of the thumb or a sharp metal object
(without hurting the person which is obvious) |

Point No-1 : At the junction of upper 1/3rd and
lower 2/3rd of the depression above the upper
lip (philtrum), in midline.
Point No-2 : 1/3rd distance from the base of the
middle toe to the heel, on the sole of the foot. |

Note :
These are first aid points. When patient becomes
conscious, shift her/him to the hospital if
required. As fainting can occur anywhere at
anytime these points are boon at that time as
this is simplest possible first aid. |
