Survive & Protect !

The greatest instinct among human beings is the instinct of survival. From ordinary person to even the greatest leader everyone desires safety for survival. That's why there is police for protection of ordinary citizens and special protection force or special security for V.I.P's.

We care so much to keep ourselves safe from bodily harm since the physical injury is visible. But let's not forget that in this temple of body is a soul and a mind of your own to guide your lifestyle and thinking. The harm or damage to the mind affects our outlook, attitude and ultimately the performance and achievement. One's attitude and performance are visible to others objectively or from outside so others notice it better. We being self-complacent would like to let it be, as it goes unnoticed by self.

We all agree a sharp mind makes one move better to reach higher. So if the mind is positive and fed with right ideas it will guide and goad us to use our time and talent fully and in the right direction. If not the contrary happens bringing us all the disappointment and sorrow.

Now that we know that our growth and even survival requires better use of our mind why not think of survival and growth of our mind and bring change in our thinking and actions and even lifestyle. How can this be achieved?

Firstly, let's train ourselves to keep our mind healthy by feeding it healthy and positive ideas. Its health can be guaranteed only through its proper nourishment with great ideas, good thoughts and good environment. Not only has it to be nourished but also it should be protected against pollution.

The good ideas, good thoughts and good inspiration come through company of right people, good books and media selection - be it magazines for reading, or radio and TV programmes and even friends too can influence us. All this will do you hardly any good unless you have protection from pollution or damaging environment. The list is vast but protection from a few will keep all the rest at bay ! The few things to protect oneself from are “good-for-nothing” company, though such company has a great appeal. Next is cheap reading material, thirdly low grade though popular TV programmes which make you addicted to junky and funky culture.

Remember objective of living is growing and achieving. So take care, survive smartly and protect yourself from pollutants of mind.
