RIAZ, as you know, is a four-letter word: the first two letters 'RI' represent Rigorous Imprisonment, the other two cover the whole dictionary - A to Z. Although not highly qualified, they call me a man of letters -while I am, in fact, a man of very few words! Unlike others in my profession, I don't drink, smoke and burn the midnight oil. I don't copy from foreign magazines, rather, I write on my own. Therefore, I claim to be the one 'original' among copywriters! I am highly sensitive and a very keen observer - and write from what I feel. I keep my mind fresh and reproduce the first impression I get. My writings have won me lots of prizes and awards, including air tickets for my family to Singapore, twice-and a trophy at the hands of Amitabh Bachchan. I have been writing for Mr. Ameen Sayani for almost four decades now.

I know that I am not like others in many ways, and thank my God who made me so. I am not a religious person, but a firm believer in God. I am cool and contented to the core, and would like my grave to be engraved with the words: "Truly a man of God, at peace with himself."
