Tit-Bits - Measure the attack risk ! |
|
The most accurate indicator
of the risk of having a heart attack in both men and
women is the ratio between waist and hip size. The ratio
is found by measuring the circumference of your waist
and then dividing the number by the circumference of
your hips. If the figure is more than 0.9 for men, or
0.85 for women, then your risk of a heart attack is
significantly higher. Fat distribution on stomach is
particularly risky as it pumps out chemicals that can
damage the insulin system, raising the risk of diabetes
and heart disease. |
