Young Collegian Discovers!

A new approach to career carving enriched with quality and values.

Hi,
My name is Tanvi Haria. I am a Xaverite, residing at Ghatkopar. I've done my schooling from S.V.D.D. School. I slogged hard to get flying colours in S.S.C. Completing my Junior college was no less than playing a game - just know something about the subject and then all you have to do is apply some common sense and write it all. I like to have fun & enjoy. I like to achieve academic excellence also - after all that is what parents want from their child, isn't it? Well, this is also important for one's career carving .

After I finished my FYBA, I wanted to work and gain experience as well as earn some pocket money. Luckily I saw an advertisement in the local newspaper about doing an internship with `Opportunities Today' the magazine published by RBCS group. I applied for it and much to my delight, I got a call for an Interview with the founder director of RBCS group, Mr. Shyam Motwani. He is an HRD expert or rather energetic, lively and friendly are the adjectives that best describe him!

At my first meeting itself, he gave me a new perspective to my career and life and a specific approach to it. He shared all his expertise and experience and gave a new dimension to my vision. Here are some of the practical and easy ideas which I have gained during my interview. These valuable pointers can make the difference in our life. So I would like to share them with others. Our vision in life should be like a Banyan tree spreading across a large surface, rather than a coconut tree which just goes on aiming at the sky limiting its growth by heading in only one direction. This vision for career would help me enrich my knowledge in various fields. I would also gain expertise from achievers as well as widen my horizons.

Other valuable tips are that we should strive towards achieving perfection and delivering quality outputs. Prosperity would follow close on its heels. Commitment, dedication and perseverance is what one requires to strive for perfection.

“Learn while you Earn” would be my motto to acquire the practical skills in all walks of life along with academic enrichment. It would be just surface learning if I limit myself to becoming only an academic oriented person. So I would rather like to graduate in my learning from surface to mind and apply it in life. This will be like adding 2 more dimensions and making it 3 dimensional learning. This 3D learning is called learning in totality. For this total learning, I'm going to have all round exposure to creative writing, communication skills, personal effectiveness, time management and even develop leadership qualities for team building.
This is the new approach with wider vision, valuable for my career growth which can also help our new generation aspirants.
