Know the Know the Hypertension

Normally, Blood pressure should be less than 140 / 90mm of Hg, at all ages.

High Blood pressure (Hypertension), affects various organs including :

• Heart (increased heart muscle thickness, Heart failure, Angina and Heart attack),
• Kidney (kidney failure),
• Brain (headache, giddiness, decreased vision, unconsciousness, stroke, seizures),
• Eyes (decreased vision, blindness).

Control of Blood pressure below 140 / 90 mm of Hg is effective in preventing delaying the above organ damage.

Once the BP is controlled, it is necessary to continue the medicines life-long in the doses, as advised by your doctor.

Please check your Blood pressure regularly with your doctor.
