Plain Jane to Night Diva

Party Time is what we all look forward to and very essential that your looks should always be taking centre stage. So make sure your makeup is fit for a 'diva' and you are dressed up to impress by indulging in a stylish new look.

Night-Do often has to be attended soon after your busy day at work and turning the so called plain-jane simple, corporate work look into a glamorous night diva look need not hassle you too much. Its quite simple actually ! Fit in a night of fun with a quick look-change with these easy make-up tips.

Usually your day-work-look involves use of a concealor, compact powder, a light blusher, eyeliner, mascara and lip-gloss or a light lip-colour. Transform this look into a glamorous avatar in these easy steps !

Shimmering Bronzer Best for: Having that dazzling glow and a warm fresh look.
You will Need: Cream bronzer for normal /dry skin and powder shimmer for oily skin.
How To: Use it on the T-zone of your face to highlight it.

Blusher Best for: Adding a contour to your face and accentuating your cheek bones
You will need: Colours of the season such as oranges, wine pinks and maroons. Of course, choose one that will complement your skin tone
How To: Apply on the cheek bones with a blusher brush, in sweeping strokes, moving towards the temples. Suck in the cheeks for easier application

Eye-shadow Highlighter Best for: Highlighting your eyes and giving them a wide doe-eyed look.
You will need: Silver or gold, either cream based or powder based shadows
How to: Apply below your eyebrows covering 1/4th of the eye area below the brow and blend with your fingertips. Also apply on the inner corner of the eyelids

Eye-shadow definer Best for: Enhancing and defining your eyes for the fancy night-look
You will need: Dark eye-shadows, powder based either frosted or metallic, preferably matching your outfit. Night eyes should glitter, hence let your imagination run riot !
How to: Use on the upper lid, starting at the outer corner of your eyes in a 'v' shape going towards your brows. Smudge with a sponge applicator brush or finger tips

Mascara Best for: No make- up is complete without it. Emphasize your lashes and add that fluttering look to the eyes. You can go over the day mascara, adding two coats
You will need: Black or coloured mascara for that funky look. If you already have heavy lashes you could use colorless gel mascara
How to: Use with a mascara wand without clogging. Lift your eyelid and start from roots to ends. For lower lashes hold the wand vertically and use just very little mascara

Kohl Best for: Adding finish and definition to the eyes
You will need: A non- smudge black or brown kohl pencil. For those with very small eyes use a white pencil
How To: Use inside the lower rim of the eye. To avoid it smudging, stretch the area below the eye while applying

Lip-colour & Gloss Best for: To get that perfect pout - the finale ! Accentuate the luscious lips with an array of lip-colours available
You will need: Your favourite lipstick and a good lip-brush to give finesse to the shape of your lips. The look of the season is glossy and shimmer
How To: Begin at the upper part of the lips from the Cupids Bow moving to the corners of the lips. For the lower lip go inwards, starting from the outer
corners. If you want the lipstick to last longer, use a dash of compact on the lips after the first application, smudge-on with a tissue and re-apply

Last but not the least, a dash of your favourite perfume is essential and you are ready to dazzle all ! Transform your look from day to night in a flash with these make up tricks and make a lasting impact - any time, any place. Make sure you are the centre of attraction at the Party Tonight !
