Moving ahead for Greater Achievement - Mubarakka Lokhandwala

Young entrepreneur lady who could have been in limelight winning awards for outstanding achievement chose a different style of functioning to be focused and persevere to achieve her goals. Here is her story of simple living and high thinking and continuous learning to excel. These 3 qualities helped her to work diligently and achieve success in its true sense. It all started while she was pursuing her first year of graduation at Sophia College. She came to RBCS for career counselling and for continuous growth plan. Since she had an urge to become an entrepreneur as well as use her flair for writing she was advised to take up a hands-on 6 months workshop training in Journalism and Communication Skills to be followed by Travel and Tourism- a comprehensive course for professional training. She liked the idea and worked her way to a new career learning along with college. She not only completed her courses on time but also made impressive projects which were part of her curriculum. Once bitten by learning-for-life bug, there was no stopping. So along with her 2nd and 3rd year at college she continued learning courses to earn international certification. Here are a few of her achievements to her credit:

(1) Diploma in Compact Travel & Tourism.

(2)
CRS from VIASINC

(3)
International Tourism Certificate & Diploma from City & Guilds

(4)
Virgin Atlantic Air Fares & Ticketing Level 1 & 2

(5)
IATA-UFTAA Management

(6)
IATA- UFTAA Senior Management

(7)
Licentiateship in Tourism from City & Guilds International. This was the first ever award in Asia to be given to any youngest entrepreneur in the World.

Motivated by her urge for learning and her multi directional interest, she also completed her Diploma in Fashion Designing as well as advanced Diploma in Fashion Designing followed by hands on workshop in Advertising & Marketing from IMFAA- an associate of RBCS group. Most of her Travel & Tourism courses were from IHCTM, also an associate of RBCS group.

She inaugurated her very own Travel Agency with the name “Nisa Travelency” and within a short span of one and a half year extended her activities to New Bombay and Thane. Learning so extensively, starting her own enterprise and opening 2 more branches within a year does merit a “great woman achiever” award! But being a focused person, selectively social, she did not bother the page 3 coverage or joining any elite chamber or association. She looks back with a great sense of satisfaction to her accomplishments in such a short span of time and reaching so high while still in her early twenties just at the young age of 22. We bring this success story of young Mubarakka in our January issue of OT as a New Year message for our young readers especially students. We are confident that they will be inspired to pursue career carving along with college studies.

IMPORTANT
Youngsters must not fail to recognize the benefits of speedy growth that they can achieve in professional fields. One need not be scholarly or burn midnight oil to score 90% or more.  Another point to remember is that instead of going abroad for studies, incurring high cost, there is an option of pursuing several international qualifications in India at a fraction of cost and time. All one needs is a WILL, dedication and expert guidance with plan for progress. To fulfill this need OT extends free guidance to such aspirants who are in Mumbai and help them to enter the world of opportunities instead of waiting for opportunities to knock at their door. Just send a request to OT office. Such counselling and guidance is not only extended to young collegians but also to homemakers who can also take out time to learn and grow. Even retired but active persons as well as those who are looking out for a change of job can benefit.
