MAKE-UP MISHAPS TO AVOID

Tired of the same Plain-Jane face that peers back at you every morning in the mirror ? Well, here are some pointers on how to add some "Oomph" to your looks. When it comes to applying make-up even the most proficient people make an occasional mistake. However, here are some tips on how to steer clear of them. Let’s start with the eyes. Applying several coats of mascara can look very patchy and prove absolutely disastrous to eyelashes. If you want to apply more than one coat make sure to let the first coat dry before applying the next. Remember not to rub too hard when removing your makeup as the skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive. Always follow your natural lip line while applying lipstick. You can extend it little inside or outside the natural lines but don't go way out. Always use a lip brush to outline before filling in. Wearing too much eyeliner will make your eyes appear smaller Always apply a thin line. When choosing concealors, choose shades that are closer to your natural complexion. Don't try to use concealors that are too white Don't choose a shade of foundation that will make you look fairer or darker. Use a shade as close to the shade of your skin. Remember to first test the shade on the inside of your wrist.

Don't blob excess powder, hoping to make your skin smoother. A very light dusting of loose powder is ideal. Never use compact powder over foundation as it will only look smudgy. Failing to thoroughly cleanse your face before and after make-up can result in appearance of blackheads, pimples and blemishes because of the dirt that gets clogged into the pores. Thus adequate care needs to be take. The colour of your eye shadow and the blusher should not just match your outfit, but should complement your complexion, as well. Don't apply a blob of rouge on one part on your cheek. Use a large brush and apply it across the cheek bones upto the hairline. Last but not the least make sure you check the lighting. Always apply make-up under sufficient light. By following these short and simple routines you will be ever ready and on the move at all times. Remember, the first step here is to “ Make-up your mind to look the Prettiest Possible !”
