IHCTM is authorized training centre for IATA/UFTAA Foundation, Consultant, Management and Senior Management courses as well as IATA/FIATA Introductory, Air Cargo Rating and Dangerous Goods Courses from IATA, Canada. In fact, IHCTM has the unique distinction of being the FIRST in the world to be authorised for the 4  IATA / UFTAA along with the 3  IATA / FIATA training programmes (a total of 7 qualifications).

IATA / FIATA CARGO RATING COURSE

This course qualifies you to make appropriate arrangements and reservations for international air cargo shipments; calculate correct rates and charges for general cargo and special cargo; give accurate and useful advice to clients; and complete Air Waybills in accordance with applicable IATA rules and procedures

Recommended pre-qualifications: 
Secondary/Higher Secondary Certificate as well as good math and English-language skills

Course Syllabus

Industry Regulations: ICAO-IATA-FIATA; the Air Cargo Agency, the IATA Cargo Agent, the Consolidator; World Geography: IATA 3-letter codes, time differences, calculation of transportation times

Use of Guides: the OAG Cargo Guide; Aircraft: bulk loading limitations, Unit Load Devices(ULDs)

Handling facilities, air cargo acceptance, cargo booking procedures, cargo automation procedures

Air cargo rates and charges, application of TACT (The Air Cargo Tariff), the Air Waybill: completion, labelling and marking

Achieve the necessary knowledge and skills to be an effective Cargo Agent able to make appropriate arrangements and reservations for International air cargo shipments

Calculate correct rates and charges for general cargo and special cargo

On completion of  the IATA/FIATA  Introductory Course, students would be eligible to pursue the IATA/FIATA Dangerous Goods Course.
