Unique Achievement - Prestigious Licentiateship of City & Guilds, U.K. conferred on an Indian for the 1st time

Sunita Motwani-Makhija, Director of the Schnell Hans International chain of Beauty Schools and Salons has been conferred the prestigious Licentiateship in Hairdressing by City & Guilds, U.K. that now entitles her to use the letters LCGI against her name.

City & Guilds is the largest Vocational Examination body in the U.K., is over a 100 years old and conducts examinations in about 140 countries around the world. The standards laid down by City & Guilds have become the benchmark around the world and a City & Guilds qualification enjoys immediate recognition of measurable quality.
 
Sunita is the first and only person in India to be awarded the Licentiateship of City & Guilds of London Institute and joins the select few - just about a dozen or so people from around the world in the last few years and the only person outside the U.K. in the last three years - to have been awarded the Licentiateship in Hairdressing. The Licentiateship is a Senior Award of City & Guilds in recognition of their work-related qualifications and achievements at a managerial level. Sunita's varied suite of International qualifications, rich experience of over 15 years as well as various pioneering efforts in the field made her eligible to qualify for the Licentiateship. The LCGI now adds on to her achievement of having been acclaimed by the Press as "India's Youngest Accomplished Beautician".

The Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma level qualifications of City and Guilds cater to a large demand for standardized qualifications at an International level at reasonable fees and Schnell Hans International also holds the distinction of being the 1st Authorised Training centre of City & Guilds international to have been appointed in India way back in 1998.
